The Yonkers Yacht Club welcomes boaters, jet skiers, kayakers โ€” and non-boaters too. If you love the water and want to be part of a friendly, active community on the Hudson River, we want to meet you.

Access to slips in our boat basin on the Hudson River for your vessel.

How to Apply

1. Reach Out

Call, send us an email, or fill out the contact form on our Contact page to express your interest.

2. Meet the Club

Come visit us at the club, meet some members, and see the facilities for yourself.

3. Apply

Complete a membership application. Applications are reviewed by the membership committee.

4. Welcome Aboard

Once approved, you’ll be welcomed as an associate member of the Yonkers Yacht Club.

Associate and Regular Membership Expectations

Associate Member Expectations

Associate standing lasts for two years. During this period, the associate must attend at least six monthly meetings per year. The associate must also complete a minimum of 30 work hours during the course of the year.  In addition, associates coordinate with the House Chairperson and are expected to assist with house cleaning/maintenance during the 2 years. After two years if the associate has completed these requirements and is in good standing he or she can apply to be a regular member.

Membership Status  

All associates are entered as A status members and will maintain this if they meet their work hour requirements.

All regular members who complete work hour requirements will be A status members.

Those regular members who do not meet work hour requirements will be B status members.

Friends of the River

If you don’t have a boat, or If becoming an associate member is too complicated and time consuming for you, consider becoming a Friend of the River.  For a small annual fee, you have access to the club house and picnic area. You can come down whenever you like with up to three friends and hang out right next to the water.  If you like, you can cook a nice dinner on our gas grill as you enjoy a terrific view of the Palisades.

Application Review Process 

To join the club, a prospective member must meet with the membership committee and fill out an application form.  Once the form has been filled out and the appropriate fees have been paid, the application will be posted on the club bulletin board for members to review for a period of not less than two weeks.  If the applicant is voted into the club during the following monthly meeting by the board he/she will be given a key to the club, a copy of the by-laws and constitution and will be granted Associate Status.
